Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

2. What we collect

• Contact details: name, email, and optionally company and role.
• Assessment and plan content: your answers, including ratings, lists of key relationships and people, financial figures you choose to enter, action steps, dates, and notes. This is the sensitive part, and we treat it accordingly.
• Usage data: a record of which parts of the service were used — a diagnostic started, a plan opened, a report downloaded. We record this ourselves, in our own database. We do not use Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics service, there are no advertising cookies, and nothing here follows you to other websites.
• What your browser keeps: a few small entries stored on your own device, so the tools work the way you would expect — that you finished the assessment, where you were in your plan, and the campaign link that brought you here, which is kept for ninety days. They are ours, not an advertiser’s, they are readable only by this site, and clearing your browser data removes them.

3. How we use it

To deliver what you asked for: producing your report or plan, sending your results, sending reminders you enabled, and preparing for coaching conversations with you. With your consent, to send occasional emails about preparing successors — unsubscribe any time, in one click. And to understand, in aggregate, which parts of the service work.

4. Who can see your content

If that ever changes — if a colleague is given access in order to coach you — this policy will say so before it happens.

5. Service providers

We use Google Firebase for hosting and the database, and Resend to deliver email. They process data on our behalf under their own security commitments. Your data is stored in the United States.

We use GoHighLevel (also called LeadConnector) to send our marketing email and to keep track of where someone is in the process. When you finish the assessment, join the waitlist, use the calculator, buy a plan, reach a milestone in one, ask for a review, apply to a cohort, or unsubscribe, we send GoHighLevel a note that the step happened, so it can send you the right email — stop selling you something you already bought, and stop writing altogether when you have asked us to.

What it receives, with every note, is your name, email address, role, company, the timeline you gave for the transition, the campaign that brought you here, which product you bought, whether it included the review, and if it did not, what adding one would cost you. If somebody bought a plan for you, or you applied to a cohort together, it receives that too, so the emails go to the right person and stop selling either of you what the other already paid for. For the assessment it also receives the names of your two lowest-scoring areas and a three-word band — “well prepared”, “middle”, or “significant gaps” — so that an email can talk about what you actually need. For the calculator it receives a broad band, never the figure you entered.

Payments are handled entirely by Stripe: we never see or store card numbers, only a record that a purchase occurred. If we add an advertising platform, this section will name it before it starts processing anything.

We also work with a marketing contractor, who has access to contact details and aggregate performance figures in order to run our email and advertising. They do not have access to your assessment answers, your plan, or anything you write in the tools. Anyone working with us on marketing is bound by a confidentiality agreement.

6. Links that open your documents

Your report and your plan are reached by a private link rather than by signing in. The link contains a long random key, it is sent to your email address, and it keeps working until it is revoked. That is deliberate: it means you can open your plan from any device without another password to keep.

It also means the link is worth protecting. Anyone who has it can open the document. Do not forward it to somebody you would not want reading your answers, and email admin@successorcoach.com if you think it has gone somewhere it should not have — we will revoke it, which takes effect immediately, and send you a new one.

7. How long we keep it

Plan and assessment data is kept for as long as your access is active, and for twelve months afterwards so that you can come back to it. Records of payments are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. We do not currently delete anything automatically — deletion happens when you ask us, or when we retire an account.

8. Your choices

You may ask us at any time to send you a copy of everything we hold, to correct anything inaccurate, to delete your data, or to stop emailing you. Email admin@successorcoach.com. We act on such requests within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

Deleting means deleting. Your plan, your answers, your actions, and your notes are removed from the database, and the links to your documents stop working. It is not hidden from you and kept for us.

9. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our providers. Every write to the database goes through our own server-side checks; a browser cannot write to it directly. Access to your content is restricted to David Delk. There are no passwords to steal, because there are no accounts — access works through the private links described in section 6.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affecting your information occurs, we will tell you.

10. Children

The service is for working adults and is not directed at anyone under 18.

11. Changes

We will update the date at the top and notify anyone with an active plan about material changes. Where a change means we start collecting something new, or sharing with somebody new, this policy will say so before that starts rather than afterwards.
